Early Frost and Gulf of Alaska Storm

On September 19th, a frost advisory (blue) was issued down to the southeast corner of Wisconsin. It was 34 that morning at Waukegan, IL, just south of the state line along Lake Michigan. A gale warning was active for Lake Michigan.
On September 23rd, freeze warnings (light blue) were issued for much of the Upper Midwest including northwest Illinois. Frost advisories extended into southern Indiana:
The next day, the frost advisories went into Kentucky and the Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina including Asheville.
 At 18Z (1 PM CDT) today (September 26th), this Gulf of Alaska storm dropped to 950 mb:



The storm is located in the left exit region of a 120 knot mid level jet streak:
This storm's pressure fell by 26 mb in just 12 hours (18 mb in the first 6):

Buoy 46001, 175 nautical miles southeast of Kodiak, AK recently reported waves up to 33.1 feet, and wind gusting to 52.4 knots.
